He was known as Mako and Surge in the United States at AT & T, announced here in Europe as the most sober of Nokia 6760 Slide, the new messaging smartphone running Symbian S60.  Nokia 6760 Slide, new Symbian S60 smartphone, is not a total unknown. Appeared in the United States on the roadmap of the operator AT & T and then officially announced as the Surge, now here it is soon available in its European version.

It is a smartphone specially oriented messaging with a full sliding QWERTY keyboard on the side, but in a format that remains compact: 97.6 x 58 x 15.6 mm 124 g. 2.4 The display is not touch but offers a QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels) with 16 million colors.

Slide The Nokia 6760 smartphone is a quad GSM / GPRS / EDGE and dual-band UMTS / HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps, with 3.2 megapixel camera and an internal memory of 120 MB per port microSDHC expandable. No WiFi on this model but a wireless Bluetooth 2.0 (A2DP), FM Radio and A-GPS module (Ovi Maps pre-installed, pedestrian guidance for life, road navigation valid for ten days).

With its keyboard, the Nokia 6760 Slide covers uses messaging and mobile social networks, with rapid access to such accounts Ovi Mail, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Windows Live Hotmail and social networks (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter) through shortcuts on the home page.

Able to push mail via Nokia Messaging, it can also be used with instant messaging solutions like Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger or Chat Ovi. It is therefore rather a versatile smartphone capable of meeting diverse needs.

With a 1500 mAh removable battery, it offers up to 5 hours of talk time GSM, 4 hours for UMTS and up to 500 hours of standby time. The Nokia 6760 Slide is expected to be marketed during the third quarter for a price of 299 € TTC outside grant operator.
