As ever, Samsung has diversified its products to suit different market needs. The last thing that comes to us from South Korean manufacturer of mobile phones is a trio that inaugurated the series Shark. They are the Samsung Shark S5350, S5550 and S3550.
They are mid-range handsets. Dispense with technical advances in fashion, as the widespread touch screen. Are indicated for solvent users who want performance but not complicate your life with possibilities that would offer a smartphone.
Samsung Shark S550
The Samsung Shark S5550 , or Samsung Shark 2 is the most advanced. It’s kind of tablet, slider screen technology and 2.2-inch AMOLED QVGA (320 x 240 pixels). As AMOLED offers a better view of content from any angle and in difficult conditions, as under full sunlight. It consumes less energy than other panels and has a lighter. Its wireless connectivity standard is based on HSDPA 3.6 Mbps in the multimedia section includes a camera with 5 megapixel sensor, face and smile detection and auto focus. Play sound files and comes with an FM radio tuner. Internal memory amounts to 110 Mb, expandable via microSD card up to 8Gb. The battery is 960 mAh, and according to Samsung, has a range of five hours talk time and 412 hours in standby mode 3G. It measures 101.8 x 48.7 x 14.8 mm and weighs 99 grams.
Samsung Shark S5350
The average of a range already half is found in the Samsung S5350 Shark. Like the previous model, is type pill, but without sliding keypad. The screen size is 2.2 inches and has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixel resolution. It also has HSDPA connectivity at 3.6 Mbps and Bluetooth version 2.1. Thanks to Bluetooth, you can use the mobile accessories equipped with the same technology, like wireless headsets or hands-free kits. The camera with smile detection mechanism, is 3.2 megapixels. It has a 100MB internal storage, but may increase them to 16 GB via microSD memory cards. Its dimensions of 115.2 x 46.7 x 11.9 mm and weighs 99.2 grams. The battery is 900 mAh and is estimated duration of three hours talk time and 450 hours in standby mode.
Samsung Shark S3550
The Samsung S3550 Shark, also known as Samsung 3, is the core of the family in technical terms. As the Shark 2, is shaped bar and sliding keyboard, but the screen is reduced to 2 inches with a resolution of 320 x 24th pixels. The camera is little more than token, with a two-megapixel sensor. It is compatible with the GPRS protocol, so your connection is very slow. It has FM radio and Bluetooth 2.1 and its initial memory is 35 Mb is given the opportunity to expand to 8 GB with a microSD card. The battery is 800 mAh, which provides a range of seven hours talk time and 430 hours in standby mode. It measures 95.8 x 45.8 x 14.4 millimeters and weighs 79 grams.
Is expected to go on sale in late January, although Samsung has not communicated nor the exact date or pricing.
